The 17th edition of the Sony World Photography Awards, the leading competition for photographers, is now open for entries. Celebrating the very best in photography today, the Awards welcome photographers of all different skill levels and experience around the globe to submit their best work for free to the Awards’ Professional, Open, Student and Youth competitions. Alongside the four main competitions, the Awards has additional initiatives running alongside the competitions to further promote worldwide talent. These include the Latin America Professional Award; the National & Regional Awards, the European Regional Awards; the Latin America National Award, plus the Alpha Female Award. Photographers are able to register themselves in the competition using their Facebook, Weibo or Google accounts, as well as uploading images via their Instagram.
