Katzman Contemporary Projects presents New Topographics: Contemporary Landscapes, a photographic exhibit of the evolving relationship between humanity and its environment through the camera lens. Photographers are invited to submit work that explores contemporary landscapes and built environments with a focus on the intersection between human development and the natural world. For this exhibition, we're seeking photographs that capture the essence of this approach while also reflecting the current state of our surroundings. Katzman Contemporary Projects is interested in images that highlight elements such as urban sprawl, industrial sites, suburban developments, and other aspects of human-altered landscapes. In the spirit of the groundbreaking photography exhibit “New Topographics: Photographs of a Man-altered Landscape,” from 1975, Katzman Contemporary Projects’ “New Topographics: Contemporary Landscapes” will be shown in person with the selected photographs on the wall. In addition, all selected photographers will receive a printed catalog of the show.
