Presented by the Association of Illustrators (AOI), in partnership with the USA-based Directory of Illustration, the World Illustration Awards 2025 are now open for submissions. Online entry deadline 11 February 2025. Professional and New Talent Illustrators, commissioners, agents and tutors are invited to submit work created, commissioned or published since January 2024. This globally-recognised competition is judged by global illustration industry professionals. Selected entries are shared on the @worldillustrationawards Instagram, followed by the announcement in May of the longlisted 500, and then the shortlisted 200. Online Showcase launches July. From September 2025 winner announcements, networking events and release of the online catalogue. The two Overall Winners will be presented cash prizes to the value of £3K and £1K respectively.
