CALL TO SCULPTORS! Sculpture artists are invited to participate in the Village of Beverly Hills 4th annual Sculpture in the Parks exhibit. The Village is seeking applications for original sculptures of a size, weight and material suited to an outdoor setting. Selected works will demonstrate the connections between art and the natural environment. The sculptures, to be selected by local artists and approved by the Parks and Recreation Board, will be on loan from the artist to the Village for three years, May 2025 through April 2028. Work submitted for Sculpture in the Parks must be: • Original: designed and created by you. • Community-friendly, suitable for viewing by all ages. • Able to stand freely or be anchored in soil; foundations/bases are not provided. Sculptures designed to be hung must use hardware that does not damage trees. o Sculptures must be installed in a workmanlike manner with sufficient anchoring to prevent the sculpture from being removed, tipped, broken or overturned. • Able to withstand pressure from wind, rain, snow, freezing temperatures, and the activities of visitors to the parks. • Installed by the artist between May 1 and May 31, 2025. Artist Responsibilities: • Transportation of sculpture to and from the site. • Installation and removal of sculpture. • Insurance of sculpture. • Maintenance and repair, if necessary.
