In 1973, the same year SOHO20 was founded, the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion, granting women crucial rights that are now under threat. This exhibition responds to the recent court decisions that restrict one’s freedom of choice, juxtaposing the voices of established members of SOHO20 with those of younger emerging artists. The exhibition provides a platform for multi generations of artists to express their response to these restrictions, highlighting the ongoing struggle for reproductive rights. SoHo20 Gallery welcomes all young or emerging artists that create artwork responding to reproductive rights to enter. Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years or older. Identity: Open to all people who are directly affected by the restrictions of reproductive freedoms. This will be an online exhibition from November 15th, 2024 - February 15th, 2025 The submission deadline is October 1st.
