The theme, PRINTMAKING, requires artists to create an image + impose it onto another surface. This centuries-old technique highlights captivating imagery, fine attention to detail, + awe-inspiring effects. Both realism + abstract art will be considered. Our gallery features contemporary art + the concept is considered in judging. Winners(1st-3rd) will split cash prizes ranging from $500-1,000. Depending how many submissions received. All artists residing in the USA are eligible to participate. This group show is located at Overt Space Gallery in Stoughton, WI. Artwork will also be available on our website. Artwork must be ready to hang and must not exceed 60” in either direction and must not stick out from the wall 6 inches. Artwork must be for sale. The commission split is 60% artist/40% gallery. All original works will be considered; All 2D artwork + 3D wall hangable artwork. Gallery uses the STAS Hanging system + can't be nailed to the wall. Gallery is family-friendly + has people of all ages walk through the gallery. Please keep this in mind when submitting artwork. Submission fees are non-refundable. Up to 3 pieces may be submitted on each application, 1 image per piece. Images must be of the actual work to be exhibited. Artwork must be original (not copied from other art/made from a kit). Work must have been completed in the last 3 years. Piece(s) must not have been shown previously at Gallery. All pieces must be for sale. applicants must submit an artist statement.
