Diriyah Art Futures (DAF) is an arts, research and education hub driven by a belief in the power of interdisciplinary creative practice at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Developed by the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia, DAF is the region’s first institution dedicated to New Media Arts. It is a space for collaboration, speculation and production by creative practitioners from across the globe, focused on research, documentation and producing new work. Running from February to April, 2025, the three-month Mazra’ah Media Arts Residency comprises two distinct streams for artists and scholars, established in the field of New Media and Digital Art. Designed to foster innovation and intellectual exchange across disciplines, the residency offers participants access to world-class studios and production labs, as well as a production budget. Work developed during residencies will be showcased or incorporated into scholarly publications, facilitated by DAF and its network of regional and international partners. There will also be opportunities to secure further engagement, through exhibitions, publications, and artist monographs. The DAF hub will provide comfortable and inspiring living spaces, while creating opportunities for participants to connect with a diverse network of peers and professionals from across Saudi Arabia and the world.
